Endorsed Concepts

Proposals can be received either as project/programme concepts or as fully-developed project/programme documents, as defined in the Operational Policies and Guidelines. Funding is only set aside for the project or programme when the fully-developed proposal is approved by the Board. The Board encourages proponents of endorsed concepts to develop those concepts into fully-developed project/programme documents, for submission to the Board. If the proponent of a concept is a National Implementing Entity, the Board may approve a Project Formulation Grant upon concept endorsement, for developing the fully-developed project/programme document. Endorsement of a concept or a project formulation grant does not guarantee approval of the subsequent fully-developed project/programme document.
