DESCRIPTION:The Adaptation Fund Board landmark decision to start a dialogue
  with civil society\, which was taken during its 12th Board meeting last D
 ecember in Cancun\, initiated an exchange of information and ideas. The Bo
 ard remains committed to continuing and furthering this discourse. Respond
 ing to requests from civil society to expand on this dialogue\, the Board 
 would like to take the opportunity of the UNFCCC COP17 back to back with t
 he 16th Adaptation Fund Board meeting to hold a dedicated session for civi
 l society.  This will allow the Board more time to engage with civil soci
 ety directly and would also provide the Board with inputs before starting
