South-South Cooperation Grant (SSC)

On 26 December 2018, the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan received peer support for accreditation of a National Implementing Entity to the Adaptation Fund from the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) of India.

The support included the following components:

1. Identifying potential NIE candidates
2. Short-listing potential NIE candidates
3. Supporting identified NIE through training and capacity building for preparation and submission of accreditation application
4. Advising and hand holding the potential NIE during the application process and revision based on feedback from the Fund
