Washington, DC, July 15, 2009 – The Adaptation Fund Board Secretariat is pleased to announce that Andrew M. Wee, a resident of Cebu City, Philippines, has won the contest to create a new logo for the Fund.  As explained by the designer, the logo is “composed of a sprouting plant which forms the acronym ‘AF,’ symbolizes the ‘necessary hope’ that the Adaptation Fund helps provide.   This growing plant likewise represents a ‘green’ fund as well as the need to nurture it.”

As reward, Mr. Wee, who holds a degree in architecture, will travel to Germany to attend the award ceremony during the Adaptation Fund’s Seventh Board Meeting.
