Technical Assistance Grant for ESP and Gender (TA-ESGP)

The Ministry of Water and Environment (MoWE) of Uganda technical assistance grant for the Environmental and Social Policy and Gender Policy (TA-ESGP) seeks to enhance the capacity of MoWE to assess and manage environmental, social and gender related issues and its compliance with the Adaptation Fund’s Environmental and Social Policy and Gender Policy.

Specific activities by MoWE for the readiness grant include:

1. Development of a guideline for environmental, social and gender risk screening and assessment including indicators for monitoring
2. Development of an environmental and social risk assessment tool and gender assessment tool
3. Developing procedures for public disclosure
4. Updating the existing grievance and complaints handling mechanism
5. Relevant training
