Technical Assistance Grant for ESP and Gender (TA-ESGP)

The Mexican Institute Of Water Technology (IMTA) of Mexico technical assistance grant for the Environmental and Social Policy and Gender Policy (TA-ESGP) seeks to enhance the capacity of IMTA to assess and manage environmental, social and gender related issues and its compliance with the Adaptation Fund’s Environmental and Social Policy and Gender Policy.

Specific activities by IMTA for the readiness grant include:

1. Revision of the environmental, social and gender policy for screening projects for environmental and social risks as well as gender-related risks
2. Revision of the environmental and social risk assessment, development of guidelines for gender assessment and gender-related risk management plans
3. Development of avenues for public disclosure and gender-responsive consultation
4. Strengthening the Agency’s Grievance and Redress Mechanism
5. Relevant training
