As climate change brings hotter temperatures, shifting rainfall patterns, and increasing water scarcity, farming communities across Panama are finding new ways to adapt.
This video shares the experiences of coffee growers and livestock farmers who are strengthening their resilience through improved water management, climate-resilient crops, agroforestry, sustainable livestock practices, and ecosystem restoration. From coffee farms in the highlands to cattle ranches in the Santa María watershed, producers are protecting their livelihoods while caring for the natural resources their communities depend on.
Supported by the Adaptation Fund and implemented by Fundación Natura, these efforts are helping farming families strengthen their resilience while caring for the land and water that sustain them.
Across Panama, the initiative has supported 114,000+ people, restored 600 hectares of ecosystems, and helped protect 20 communities from the impacts of climate change.
