The Adaptation Fund received four proposals for its new South-South grants program for strengthening readiness to directly access climate adaptation financing.

This new program was launched by the Adaptation Fund to provide national agencies and organizations support as they work to become accredited for direct access to the Fund’s climate adaptation financing. It is part of the Fund’s Readiness Programme for Climate Finance, launched in May 2014.

The proposals, available below for viewing, will be reviewed at the Adaptation Fund Board’s 24th meeting, to be held October 9-10, 2014, in Bonn, Germany. The call for proposals, along with eligibility guidelines, are archived here for reference.
