Meeting Room 12, Bonn Zone In its concrete projects helping the most vulnerable communities in developing countries adapt and build resilience to climate change, the Adaptation Fund ensures they are of high quality and effective through innovative policies that adapt to country needs and promote human rights, gender equality, marginalized groups, biodiversity conservation, natural habitats, pollution prevention and resource efficiency. Implementing and executing partners will discuss these aspects of Adaptation Fund projects.

Gender Day Since 2012 the UNFCCC secretariat has been organizing in collaboration with Governments, United Nations organizations, intergovernmental organizations, civil societies and the private sectors an annual Gender Day during the sessions of the UNFCCC COP/CMP/CMA with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of gender considerations and celebrating women’s climate action.  Learn more

Adaptation Fund Board
The High-Level Segment of the UN Climate Change Conference to be attended by dignitaries, ministers and other senior officials, will be inaugurated in the afternoon of Wednesday, 15 November 2017 and will close on Thursday, 16 November 2017.

The Adaptation Fund Board Chair Michael Kracht will deliver a statement on November 16.
